Emergency Fund Many AAP students encounter emergencies during the academic year that directly impact their ability to cover room and board costs, purchase books or continue their attendance at UCLA. Our way. Donate to the Emergency Fund and help cover the cost of textbooks for students. Help fund equipment for peer-learning interactive labs. I want to support students who need the help. I want to share the opportunities I have been given and hold hope for those to come.

Education is the best investment in our future. I give because UCLA changed my life forever. I depended on scholarships and grants to pay for my tuition and books. In fact, we are excited for you to learn more about AAP services and our staff through a social media series highlighting the people and the stories that make us excellent in the upcoming weeks.

Summer program students are introduced to the rigors of university life and provided with information that will assist them with successfully transferring to the university.

Summer program participants are assigned a Peer Mentor during the academic year to assist them with the transfer process. VIPS prepares historically underrepresented students in ten high schools to become competitively eligible for admission to UCLA and other flagship universities, and encourages pursuit of graduate and professional education.

VIPS prepares students to become critically conscious through holistic year-round programming and a cohort model that promotes community and accountability.

Since its inception in , VIPS has served over underrepresented students in 13 cohorts as well as informally served many other students in these schools.
