While my xbox used to connect to xbox live via my old XP desktop, it refuses to even acknowledge my laptop with Windows 7. I've tried a variety of fixes including clearing the network settings of the xbox and laptop, reinstalling the drivers for the network card, and copying the network settings from my desktop to the laptop.

I currently have single network cable running from my xbox to laptop. No I do not have a wireless connection at my house. I do however have a hub, but I know that xbox NICs are capable of switching so I don't see what difference that would make. Any ideas? This thread is locked. I have the same question I am intending to use a PC as a proxy server and have had trouble getting it's internet connection to pass through the 2nd adapter to the router.
