If you do not receive a restart, you will have to manually restart it to complete the new operation. If only a few icons are missing from the Windows 10 Personal Start Menu, users can take the following steps and restore the missing icons. You will most likely resize the tile icon to lowercase or by right-clicking on the tree icon. Use the same method to get other missing Windows 10 tokens from the Start menu.
Use this method as a last resort, when you have exhausted all other solutions and some icons are still missing from the Start menu. This solution will clear your Windows 10 Start Menu style to the default and remove any similar manually pinned app icons. This means that you might have to manually add eachpart anew.

I have the similar issue with Windows Server R2 which start mid February, I managed to resolve the issue by removing the following Windows updates. After the restart the user profile showed icons on the desktop and the taskbar was responsive. I have the same issue on an RDS server R2. The user has no desktop, taskbar or start menu items.
Running explorer from Task Manager. Restoring the user's profile doesn't fix it. However, I have got them working again by creating a new profile and restarting the server. If it does not reappear then most likely the windows explorer service explorer. Maybe deleted, turned off or virus can cause this to happen.
